An American military aviator and film and television actor, born in Los Angeles, California, USA, on February 17, 1914. He attended Los Angeles City College and was a fullback for that school's football team. He gained experience in acting through his work at the Pasadena Playhouse. His film debut was in China Clipper (1936). He worked as a pilot, joined the Naval Reserve, and became a Navy flier in 1942. He appeared in several films, including Paths of Glory (1957), The Bushwhackers (1951), and Kid Galahad (1937). He died on September 14, 1959, in Oakland, California, USA, due to a heart attack, at the age of 45.
