An Irish animator, director, screenwriter, producer and voice actress, born in Cork, Ireland. She was educated at St. Mary's Secondary School in Middleton, County Cork, but left before taking her Leaving Certificate at the age of 15. She worked as a manual worker in a local factory, but continued to draw and briefly studied fine art before being accepted into Ballyfermot College in Dublin to study animation, graduating in 1995. After graduating, she began working at Brown Bags Film animation studio in Dublin. Among her credits are My Father's Dragon (2022), The Breadwinner (2017) and Backwards Boy (2004).
