An American director, writer, and producer, born in Michigan, USA. His parents were vaudeville dancers and moved to Michigan, where he studied in high school, and graduated in 1941. He joined the army the following year and began his artistic career in 1956 when he joined the Pasadena Community Theater. He later wrote the film Gun the Man Down (1956), starring James Arness, and the film Man in the Vault, both directed by Andrew F. McLaglen. |
