His mother, Lurline Mignonette Nunes, was an amateur theater actress from Jamaica whoo came from a wealthy family of Spanish...Read more merchants, while his father worked as the manager at the Colonial Bank in Jamaica. Later, he relocated to England, where he started his artistic career in the theater in 1927 before switching to films in 1931. His works include Pony Express Rider (1976), Against a Crooked Sky (1975), Sweet Sixteen (1983), and Man in the Wilderness (1971). He died on March 6, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States.
