Salma El-Sharkawy |
British actor, born in Dominica, British West Indies. His mother, Lurline Minuette Nunes, was an amateur theater actress from Jamaica, while his father worked as a manager at the Colonial Bank in Jamaica. He comes from a wealthy family of Spanish merchants. After finishing his studies, he relocated to England, where he started his artistic career in the theater in 1927 before switching to films in 1931. His works include Pony Express Rider (1976), Against a Crooked Sky (1975), Sweet Sixteen (1983), and Man in the Wilderness (1971). He died on March 6, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, United States.
