An Indian actress, who is known for her roles in several films such as Do Badan, Saathi, and Mera Naam Joker. She was born in Delhi, India, but grew up in England and studied there with her sister Amrita. After spending several years in England, she returned to India in her teens. Thanks to her proficiency in English, she participated in the film Tarzan Goes to India when she was fifteen years old and appeared with Feroze Khan in another film in 1962. In the sixties and seventies of the twentieth century, she participated in several roles with directors such as Raj Kapoor and Mrinal Sen and played roles with Shashi Kapoor. In the early eighties, she turned to writing and directing and launched a production company through which she presented several Indian series.
