An American actress, born in San Diego, California, USA. She studied at the Max Reinhardt Seminar, then joined Hollywood High School, graduating in 1939, and entered Los Angeles Junior College in the fall of 1939. Among her artistic works are the films The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939), Alice Through the Looking Glass (1966), and Cockeyed Cowboys of Calico County (1970). She won the Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical. |
