• British actor born in 1917 in Pembroke, Bermuda, one of the first black actors to succeed in the British film and television. Cameron joined the British Merchant Navy and arrived...Read more in the United Kingdom in 1939. After that, he began his acting career in 1951. He made his screen debut in the movie "Ball of London" in 1951, in the rare starring role of the fourth black actor ever to appear in a prominent role in a British movie. He had many famous roles as Doctor Who and Thunderball. Cameron was appointed to be the Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2009. He died on 3 July 2020, in the United Kingdom at the age of 102.
