A Bulgarian writer and director, born in Bulgaria. He wrote a number of books and plays. He also wrote and directed many documentaries as well as several feature-length films, most of which were shown at prestigious international festivals. He is known for Zad kadar (2010), which won the Best Director Award and the FIPRESCI Prize at the Cairo International Film Festival in 2010. He also co-wrote director Svetla Tsotsorkova's first feature film, Thirst (2015), which was shown at numerous festivals worldwide and won several awards.
