Debra Paget was born in Denver, Colorado, USA on August 19, 1933. Debra Paget was born in Colorado to parents of British descent and moved when she was young with the family to Los Angeles, California, and studied at Hollywood High School, and she practiced acting in the school theater at the age of 11. Her mother was a theater actress, and she sought to get her children in to have careers in the cinema. Debra Paget got a contract with Fox when she was 14 years old, after which she made her first movie Cry of the City (1948). Thereafter, she co-starred with James Stewart in the movie Broken Arrow (1950), then starred in Princess of the Nile (1954), then Love Me Tender (1956) with rock and roll star Elvis Presley, whom she dated. After two failed marriages, her film career halted, so she decided to leave Hollywood. Her last movie was the horror movie The Haunted Palace (1963). Among her most notable works are Broken Arrow (1950), Love Me Tender (1956), The Ten Commandments (1956), and Journey to the Lost City (1960).
