A Syrian writer and director, born in Al-Zabadani, Syria, in 1976. She studied English literature at Damascus University before working as a radio presenter and producer. In 2008, she produced her first documentary, Through Women's Eyes. After the 2011 Syrian Revolution, she participated in the establishment of an artistic movement to produce works of art and short films about the Syrian conflict. Her film The War Show (2016) won the award for Creative Documentary at the 15th International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights in the Swiss capital, Geneva.
