A French director and writer, born on January 4, 1963, in Cambrai, Nord, France. After he passed the baccalauréat, Christian joined an engineering school affiliated with the French Ministry of Agriculture to fulfill the wish of his family. Around that time, he rented a camera and started shooting films, then he met Christophe Rossignon, at which point they decided to start making movies.
In 2001, Christian Carion directed his first feature film The Girl from Paris, then he directed Joyeux Noel, which screened at the 2005 Cannes Film Festival, this historical film was a huge success and was nominated for several César Awards as well as an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film of the Year. Carion is also known for Farewell (2009) and My Son (2021).
