She graduated from Adelphi University in New York with a BFA in Theatre Arts after studying at Emerson College in Boston. She appeared in several New York and regional theaters before moving to Los Angeles. She was the lead actress on the prestigious stages of the Billie Holiday Theatre in Brooklyn.
