An Algerian director, born in 1979 in Oran, Algeria. Sofia studied literature in Algiers, after which she completed a series of short stories. Her first short film, Mollement, un samedi matin (2012), was adapted from one of these stories. Moreover, Sofia won two awards at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival for this short film. She is also known for the feature film The Blessed (2017). |
