A German theater and film actor, born on December 27, 1895 in Hamburg. He studied at an art school in Hamburg He actually started his theatrical debut in 1913. After the First World War, he continued his acting activities in the theater. He is best known for the movies The Palm Beach Story, The Great Lover, and Duchess of Idaho. He died on August 17, 1975 in Woodland Hills, at the age of 80, due to Parkinson's disease.
