An Egyptian actor, born in a village in Minya Governorate. He contracted leprosy in his teens and was sent to the leprosy colony in Abu Zaabal, and has spent his life residing in the colony, running a small store that sold food to residents and workers in the colony. He was chosen by director Abu Bakr Shawky to star in the film Yomeddine.
