She was born on October 13, 1929 in Redwood City, California, USA. Joyce MacKenzie married three times from outside the artistic community and had two children with her first husband. She appeared on Broadway theaters and nightclubs, moved to Hollywood to work in show films, and then went to television. She left Hollywood in the early sixties to return to complete her studies at university and obtained her degree to teach English at Nigel Hills High School in Laguna, California. In 2006, she retired completely and moved to Dana Point, California, USA. Among her most important roles are in Topper, Mother Didn't Tell Me, and Tarazan and the She-Devil.
