A British actor, born on 9 June, 1890 in Liverpool. He attended school at Glenalmond College in Scotland, and studied at Kipley College. He made his debut with The Merchant of Venice at Brechin City Hall in 1911. He served with Essex's squad during World War I. Kenneth McGowan persuaded him while he was in New York to go to Hollywood and play his first movie The Most Dangerous Game. He died on April 21, 1952 in London.
