An American actor, born in New York City, on February 17, 1910. He was married twice and had two children. He is an American character actor, who specialized in the underworld roles of criminal gangs and mobs, it was helped by a natural scar on his face. He was born to a Russian Jewish father and a Polish Jewish mother. He received his high school education in New York City and practiced acting in the school theater. He began his film appearance with Paramount Company in the movie If I Had a Million (1932). Due to his political activity and his affiliation with the Communist Party, he was placed on the blacklist (150 actors, directors and producers). He traveled to Europe, where he continued his artistic work with a group of Italian and British films. He presented his last work in 2003 and died two years later at the age of 95. Lawrence's most important works: End of Days (1999), The Man with the Golden Gun (1974), From Dusk Till Dawn (1996) and Diamonds Are Forever (1996).
