Belgian actor, born in Antwerp, Belgium. He attended the Brussels Conservatory of Dramatic Arts and was a member of the Jean-Louis Barrault Theater Company. His first film was Criminel (1933). He is known for Angele (1934), Une fille à papa (1936), Terra di fuoco (1939), La danse de mort (1948), and Rififi (1955). He died on February 17, 1976, in Paris, France
