An Irish journalist, who grew up in England and attended Ratcliffe College, a Catholic boarding school. He moved to Ireland to attend university, graduating from University College Dublin in 1969. He then worked as a journalist for RTE Irish Radio and then for three major Irish newspapers: The Irish Times, The Irish Independent, and the Irish edition of The Sunday Times. He then became the presenter of RTE's evening television show The Challenge during the 1990s. |
