An Indian-American actor, born in Mussoorie, India, to American parents. He grew up in India and spoke fluent Hindi, which qualified him to work in Bollywood and Hollywood, in addition to television series and theater. He began his career as a sports journalist and conducted the first television interview with Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. He became famous for his role as a gangster in the television series Junoon, and participated in films such as Gandhi (1982) and One Night with the King (2006).
