A British singer and actress, born in Tottenham, England. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art RADA in London in 1951. She was nominated for a Golden Laurel Award in 1970 for the movie Oliver! (1968), as Female New Face. In 1968, She got married to actor and producer Bernard Rich, and they had a daughter, costume designer Rebecca Rich. Among her works are: Once Upon a Mattress (1964), The Great Mouse Detective (1986), and Arnold (1973).
