A former English football player and former football manager who was born in Middlesbrough, England. When he reached the age of 16, he joined the Middlesbrough club. He remained there for two years, from 1951 to 1953. He joined the youth team in an obscure club called Billingham Synthonia FC and spent two years there, from 1953 until 1955. He returned at the age of 20 to his hometown club, Middlesbrough. He played as a striker and managed to score 197 goals in only 213 matches. He became an outstanding striker who stroke a large number of goals in the 6 years he spent with the English team. He participated in 6 seasons of the English Second Division. He appeared in the series Boon (1990).
