John Payne received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his work in television and film. John Payne joined the Mersburg...Read more Academy in Pennsylvania, and then joined Roanoke College, and enrolled in the Boltiers School of Journalism at Columbia University, then studied singing at the Juilliard School of Music and Acting. H ended up standing on stage at the age of 20, presenting musicals and comedies, in addition to presenting a radio show with the star Betty Gabel. He signed a contract with Paramount Company, and presented several films with secondary roles, then moved to Fox in 1940, to start the starring roles. He is best known for his roles in Tin Pan Alley (1940), and Iceland (1942).
