An American actress, who was born in Siloria, Alabama, on July 6, 1st, and died in Los Angeles, California, on April 11, 1970, from a brain hemorrhage as a result of cancer at the age of 47. Cathy O'Donnell is best known for her roles in The Best Years of Our Lives (1946), The Live by Night (1948), and Side Street (1950). Cathy O'Donnell was born in Alabama, and when her parents divorced, she moved to Oklahoma at the age of 12, and attended high school and university in Oklahoma City. She was chosen by luck to contract with MGM under the direction of Samuel Goldwyn. She played roles in several distinguished and classic films, but she focused her efforts on working in television, until she passed away.
