An American screenwriter and director, born on November 8, 1989 in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in Harlem. She studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, after which she worked as a television production assistant. She wrote and directed Little Woods (2018). She also directed the horror movie Candyman (2021). She won the Nora Ephron Prize for Female Filmmakers at the Tribeca Film Festival.
