An American actor, producer and director, born in New York City, on October 24, 1936, as David Oswald Nelson, and died in Los Angeles, California, on January 11, 2011 of colon cancer. He received a star on the Walk of Fame in 1996 for his television work. Nelson was born into an artistic family. He graduated from Hollywood High School, and then participated with his mother, father and younger brother Ricky Nelson in the movie Here Come the Nelsons (1952), then made some films and participated in the television series The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet (1952-1966). The outcome of his artistic career is acting in 12 films and 10 series, producing 4 works and directing 11 works. David Nelson is best known for acting in: Peyton Place (1957), Lost Plane Out (1983), and Cry-Baby (1995).
