Christina Aziz |
A British Labour Party politician and actress, who became a member of parliament (MP) in 1992. She worked for two years at the pharmacy chain Boots before studying at RADA, and after studying acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she began her career on stage. She won two Oscars for Best Actress in a Leading Role, the first of which was for Women in Love (1969), while the other was for A Touch of Class (1973). Her other notable works include The Music Lovers (1971) and the BBC series Elizabeth R (1971), in which she portrayed Queen Elizabeth I.
