A British director and cinematographer, born on August 15, 1928, in London, United Kingdom. He is best known for Don't Look Now (1973), Walkabout (1971), and The Witches (1990). Early in his career, he worked as a second unit photographer in Lawrence of Arabia (1962), then as a cinematographer in The Masque of the Red Death (1964) and Fahrenheit 451 (1966). In 1970, he made his directorial debut in Performance. He died on November 23, 2018, in London, United Kingdom, at the age of 90.
