A British journalist, writer, and television presenter, born on November 3, 1919, in Edinburgh. He studied at Christ Church, Oxford, and Eton College. He served in the Royal Navy, was a member of the Liberal Democrats political party, and was also a fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. He is known for Encounter (1954-1959), Target Tirpitz (1973), and Kraft Theatre (1955). He died on October 18, 2009, in Salisbury, England at the age of 90, of pneumonia. |
