An American singer and actress, who was born on July 27, 1949 in Youngstown, Ohio. After graduating from Boardman High School in 1967, she worked as a vocalist for a local folk band that received a Grammy Award nomination in 1974 for Best New Artist. Her career began on Broadway, and she has acted as a film singer since 1979. She is famous for Airplane! (1980), Airplane II: The Sequel (1982), and Joseph: King of Dreams (2000).
