An American actor, director, and singer, born on July 9, 1928, in Brownsville, Brooklyn, New York City. He was the son of Italian immigrant parents and had a twin brother named Bob Zoino. Edwards married 4 times and had 3 children. He studied aircraft flight mechanics at East New York Vocational High School, graduating in 1945, and was a school swimming champion. He joined Ohio State University on a sports scholarship.
Afterwards, he transferred to the University of Hawaii and practiced stage acting while studying at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. His notable works include The Killing (1956), Murder by Contract (1958), Ben Casey (1961-1966), and The Devil's Brigade (1968). He was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 1962. He passed away from pancreatic cancer in Los Angeles, California, on March 11, 1996.
