Toqa Hesham |
A British novelist, essayist, memoirist, and screenwriter, born on August 25, 1949, in Oxford, United Kingdom. He worked as Professor of Creative Writing at the Centre for New Writing at the University of Manchester until 2011. In 2008, the British newspaper "The Times" ranked him as one of the fifty greatest British writers since 1945. Among the most famous novels he wrote are “Money” and “London Fields”. He was inspired by the absurdity of the late-stage capitalist Western society and by postmodernism. In cinema, he's known for Saturn 3 (1980), London Fields (2018), and Out of Blue (2018).
