Dorothy Tree was an American actress, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, on May 21, 1906 as Dorothy Estelle Triebitz, and died in Englewood, New Jersey, on February 13, 1992 of a heart attack. Dorothy Terry is famous for her roles in: Madame Du Barry (1934), Having Wonderful Time (1938), Casanova Brown (1944), and The Asphalt Jungle (1950). She completed her studies at university, and worked in theater in New York, then went to Hollywood and made her first movie appearance in the movie It (1927). She presented more than 40 films, then left to New York to teach Speech and Expressionism at Mannes College of Music and Manhattan School of Music, in addition to her work as a vocal coach at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York.
