A Romanian writer, born in Bucharest, Romania. After graduating from high school, she worked for the American newspaper The New York Call, then performed at the Victoria Palace Theater and won the London Critics Circle Award in 2001 for Best Musical. In 1949, she won the Tony Award for Theater for the play “Kiss Me, Kate” with her husband, Sam Spewack. She died in Manhattan, New York, USA. |
