Toqa Hesham |
An American actress, who was born on November 22, 1875 in Savannah, Tennessee. She attended Martin College, where she studied music, recitation and English, and continued her graduate studies at Columbia Institute in Columbia, Tennessee. She moved to Paris, where she participated in the production of French Comedies. Her Broadway debut was in the play Everyman (1926). At the age of 51, she starred in her first film, which was the silent film, The Boy Friend. She is famous for her roles in Remember the Night (1940), Intruder in the Dust (1949), and Pal Joey (1957). She died on January 31, 1966 in Los Angeles, California, of pneumonia.
