    Christina Aziz

A British-American actor, born in Johannesburg, South Africa. He received two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his film and television work. He had three wives and one child. His most important works include And Then There Were None (1945), House by the River (1950), and The Man in the Iron Mask (1939). He was educated in Britain and France. He attended Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, London. He spent a short time managing a nightclub in London, showed some acting talent, and decided to become an actor. The playwright Noel Coward became his mentor. He developed his acting skills on the London stage in some versions of Broadway plays, including Dracula and Another Language. He began his film career with the British romantic drama Self Made Lady (1932). He went to New York in 1935 and presented Point Valaine on Broadway. He then went to Hollywood and presented The Flame Within (1935) with Maureen O'Sullivan and Herbert Marshall. After obtaining several minor roles in 1936, he had his real chance with Warner Bros. in the 1936 romance Anthony Adverse to become a romantic hero in the 1930s, but he changed that style, playing some dark drama roles in B-movies. Then he worked in adventure films, which transferred him to the A-film category. After his meeting his future wife, actress Ida Lupino, in the movie Ladies in Retirement (1941) and obtaining American citizenship, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and participated in the bloodiest battles in the history of the Marines, the Battle of Tarawa. He was in a bad mental state, and he returned to the cinema with the movie And Then There Were None (1945). His last movie was Terror in the Wax Museum (1973) and his last appearance in a series was in The Magician (1974), then he retired completely. He died in Palm Springs, California, USA on February 21, 1985 of lung cancer and kidney failure.
