An American actress who was born in Weatherford, Texas, on December 1, 1913, as Mary Virginia Martin, and she died in Rancho Mirage, California, on November 3, 1990, of cancer. Mary Martin has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award several times, winning it in 1956. She is famous for starring in Birth of the Blues (1941), Peter Pan (1960), and Producers' Showcase (1955-1956).
