A British actor born in Walsall, England, United Kingdom on February 21, 1940. He married two wives and had one daughter. His major works include The Fighting Prince of Donegal (1966), Clayhanger (1976), The Moon-Spinners (1964), and Entertaining Mr. Sloane (1970). He became known as a theater, television, and film actor. He was educated at Ellesmere College in Shropshire, studied theater with Iris Warren, and made his theatrical debut in 1956. He became a stage actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company, and played various roles in Hamlet. He became a well-known theater actor in the classical theater. He began his TV activities in 1959 and presented 29 television works during his career. In 1966, he played his first cinematic lead in the Disney movie The Fighting Prince of Donegal. He presented 17 British films.
