A Turkish actor, born in Kayseri, Turkey. He is the nephew of leftist musician Asem Ersoy. He studied economics at Istanbul University and was known for his charismatic personality and strong presence on the screen. He made his acting debut in the film Kara Günlerim (1957), and then his works continued after that, the most important of which are the films Melekler sahidimdir (1961), Bir demet yasemen (1961), and Leyla ile Mecnun gibi (1963).
