In Brighton, she was part of the dance troupe that included Liz Aggiss and Billy Cowie, Divas. She performed on their 1986 show. She started as a stand-up comedian in the early 1990s. She wrote a series of young adult novels, more than 20 books about adolescence for teens. She died on February 29, 2016 in England.
