A British actor, born on April 14, 1925 in Manchester, England. Before becoming an actor, He was a cook, farm worker and long-distance truck driver. He served in the Royal Navy during World War II. He was awarded a scholarship at the Northern Theater School and trained at the Bradford Theater School 1947-49. He then became an assistant theater director at the Chesterfield Civic Theater in the late 1940s. He began his stage life by the summer of 1950 in Chesterfield. His most notable films include: Portrait of Alison (1955), Solo for Canary (1958) and Curtain of Fear (1964). He died on July 8, 2016 in London, England.
