Amr Hosny was born in Cairo, studied engineering, and worked as a graphic designer. He has designed several posters for films, including The Island 2 and In the Last Days of the City. He began his acting career in 2002 through the university's theater and participated in many theatrical performances and independent short films. In addition to acting, he participated in a number of contemporary dance shows as a dancer and performer. He is known for The Giraffe - his first feature film.
