An Argentine lawyer, born on October 2, 1949, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Carlos Slepoy helped victims of the Argentine, Chilean, Guatemalan, and Spanish dictatorships. He was subjected to torture during the constitutional government of Isabel Martínez de Perón during his arrest in March 1976 in Argentina. Slepoy was released and exiled to Spain in 1977. He died on April 17, 2017, in Madrid, Spain,
