American actress born in DeKalb, Illinois on 18 April 1922. She was married to actor Bill Williams until his death in 1992, and they had three children. She's known for The Window (1949), Airport (1970), and The Giant Spider Invasion (1975). She received a Primetime Emmy award in 1959 for Outstanding Performance in a Supporting Role for the TV series Perry Mason. She died on 26 January, 2017 in Sherman Oaks, California, at age 94. |
