Add/Update Information: Ali Abdullah Khalifa - Writer

A Bahraini poet and writer, born in 1944 in Bahrain. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in Arts from the University of Cyclone in the United States in 1989. He studied at Bahrain school in 1951 and obtained his high school diploma in 1962. He founded Dar Al-Ghad for Publishing and Distribution in Bahrain 1974, and the literary quarterly (Kitabat) magazine. He also supervised the establishment of the Folklore Center for the Arab Gulf States, and managed it for five years from 1982-1987.
