Antoinette completed her acting degree summa cum laude from the University of the Free State, and was awarded the André du Plessis Award for Best Drama Student in her second year, the South African Theater Newspaper Award for Best Drama Student in her third year, and the Elsa Krantz Award for Best Drama Student (1994 -1996), UFS Merit Bursary Award, and UFS Honorary Colors for Arts and Culture. Her most important works include The Fragile King (2022), Angelina (2021), The Story of Racheltjie De Beer (2019), and An Act of Defiance (2017).
