A South African actress, born in Pretoria, South Africa. Her parents were psychology professors. During her childhood, she and her family frequently went to the United States where her father was a visiting professor, and she attended school in the United States during various stages of her school years. Antoinette began acting at an early age, landing her first lead in a school play. Antoinette completed her acting degree summa cum laude from the University of the Free State, and was awarded the André du Plessis Award for Best Drama Student in her second year, the South African Theater Newspaper Award for Best Drama Student in her third year, and the Elsa Krantz Award for Best Drama Student (1994 -1996), UFS Merit Bursary Award, and UFS Honorary Colors for Arts and Culture. Her most important works include The Fragile King (2022), Angelina (2021), The Story of Racheltjie De Beer (2019), and An Act of Defiance (2017).
