A British actress born in London, UK. She dropped out of school at 17 years old and joined RADA and stood on the Embassy Theatre stage. Her onscreen debut was on the propaganda war film The Voice in the Night (1941). Her notable works include Love on the Dole (1941), The Night Has Eyes (1942), They Met in the Dark (1943), and Mrs. Fitzherbert (1947). Her last film was Shadow of the Past (1950), afterwards she did some work in theater and TV, including writing several TV series. She married twice and had three children. She died on 23 November 2010 in Santa Monica, California, US.
